In short, no the Hawks wont keep this up.The Hawks arent a very good team, they just have the luxury of playing in the Eastern Conference where a .500 record (and sometimes worse) can get you into the playoffs. They cant compete with the elite teams in the league. They may have a good regular season (like they’ve done in past years) but come playoff time, when the season really matters, they’ll fold.

That and the Sox will probably end up losing Papi too. I think they will be better off using the guys they have now, showing they have faith in them. Daniel Bard will be able to to get at least 30 saves as the closer (should he get the job). As for a DH to replace Papi, it will be tough, but the guys to fill it are there

I usually LOVE free agent frenzy. But not this year. I think it has to do with being a Sox fan and seeing your team Soxsploding even worse in October than they did when they were playing in September…

How’s that prediction working out for you now? Rasmus is a daddy’s boy and cancer to any team he plays on. How was his post-trade batting average for the Blue Jays? .173?

Meanwhile, we’re going to the world series on a strong hitting performance. I guess our batting coach knows a thing or two Colby Rasmus’ dad doesn’t.
